As an interior design store, Weekend Trader - understandably - has great decor. Drawing from contemporary New Zealand designs, the store plays with industrial influences to create a sterile and ultramodern atmosphere. Owner Terry is passionate about what he does and will happily talk to you about designs that interest.

Instead of recharging with caffeine, hold back on that coffee! Spend your next break having a browse and lose yourself in the showroom.

At its new location in the City Works Depot precinct, Weekend Trader is a gorgeous store whether you are just looking, like me, or thinking seriously about decorating. Its grey Winback chairs are particularly modern and stylish, and the resident French Bulldog, Rocky, is always happy to see you.

    Weekend Trader is one of the new kids in the Ponsonby Central and further enhances the homewares side of the complex. It has an industrial flavour and they specialise in vintage style lighting, stocking a wide variety of pendant lights and metal lampshades. They also have the ever popular terrarium in attractive geometric cases, reindeer hides, framed vintage motorcycle prints, large glass fronted cabinets, rustic sideboards and much more.
