This is by far one of the best fish and chips shops in west Auckland. They have won a couple of awards for their fish and chips and their service is excellent. The chips are never soggy and there is a good amount for what you pay. They staff are very friendly and pretty quick with the cooking.. If you are looking for a good fish and chip shop out west, check out this place!
Ever since we moved back down to West Auckland from Warkworth (where fish and chips are highly competitive and a big part of the little town) we have been struggling to find a fish and chip shop that can compare to the high expectations we had gained from the Warkworth takeaways and we finally found it! Westgate takeaways is now our preferred choice and we will always go here above all else. The chips were crispy and fresh, piping hot and not soggy and you actually got a decent amount for your money, unlike some other takeaway bars we have visited over the last year. The rest of the food was to a high standard too and the service of the staff is just great, friendly and polite. Just a fantastic all round takeaway bar! Would definately recommend it to all of you out there who love a good chip!
