Xuxu (say “Su-su”) is one of Auckland's favourite dumpling bars, located in Britomart. Best-loved by locals for its tasty, well-priced dumplings, the cosy table-service bar is just around the corner from its older sibling Cafe Hanoi. There are no bar stools or leaners here. Instead, it's all about intimate tables where you’re hosted by attentive staff, with the kind of warm but unobtrusive service we know and love from Cafe Hanoi. The open kitchen bustling with staff adds a touch of theatre inside, while the streetside terrace provides a front-row seat to the hum of the Britomart precinct beyond.

My current favourite for the best-quality, best-value dumplings in Auckland. I love Xuxu's opium den vibe, delicious dumplings, great tunes and good vibes. We enjoyed lunch today for just $18 each - great value. Don't miss trying their fresh tea. It's zesty, refreshing and an excellent way to help you digest your feast.
For gourmet dumplings, I love to head to Xuxu in Britomart. The cousin of Cafe Hanoi and just across the street, it’s a haven for gorgeous handmade dumplings accompanied by even better cocktails. I highly recommend the chicken potstickers, which are fried dumplings with shiitake mushrooms. A winner every time.
Yum. A nice break from ye old coffee-catchup with a friend. Their beautiful interior sets up an intimate ambience, and the staff are wonderful human beings. Don't even get me started on the dumplings! Sharing these bad boys around makes for a fun way to catch up with the group. Sit back, have a few yarns, have a drink, relax, and enjoy the good vibes.
A new addition to Britomart, this is a bustling yet blissful joint to nibble lovingly hand crafted dumplings and cocktails. It really is the best of both worlds - they achieve the quality and authenticity you expect with every mouthful, as well as doing it with that Britomart swag the area is known for. Definitely recommended.
The sister bar to the awesome Cafe Hanoi, Xuxu is one of the hottest places to come to drink great wines and cocktails. Designed with a Vietnamese theme (think bamboo wallpaper and classic stained glass lampshades), you'll get table service and an array of tasty South-East Asian bites to go with your cocktails.
