Zany Zeus make all their cheeses, icecreams, yoghurts and cakes by hand on site. Amazing coffee is also a huge plus here! They used to have a small store in the Ripe cafe down the road, but after getting too big for themselves they had to open their own bigger and better store. Pop in and try some of their free samples.
If you have not been to Zany Zeus in Moera, then get on your skateboard, moped or horse and head on down. There are many delicious treats to be had here. The squeaky halloumi, creamy ricotta, smoked yoghurt and ice cream! They also make a consistently great coffee. The staff are always smiling and helpful and there is also a few deli items like halloumi Turkish, baklava (swoon), and feta scones. They have an extensive array of fruit and plain yoghurts to tempt you also. Go there. NOW. You will not regret it (though your waistband might).
A huge number of cafes around Wellington use Zany Zeus’ organic milk Zorganic! But most don’t even know they have a new store in Moera. Not only is the milk amazing and organic, they make the most delicious ice creams on site. Our favourites are the chocolate and also the rose water and coconut! Both amazing. They sell them ready to eat in cones or tubs, and also sell these take home tubs. They also sell a huge range of cheese, I haven’t tried a huge range because the smoked brenza is SO good! Every time we go here we leave with a supplied igloo box of yum goodies!
