Zarbo Delicatessen & Cafe

Love this place

Zarbo is one of the only places I go to for lunch when in Newmarket. They have a huge selection of cabinet and menu items for lunch and snacks. They have a few highchairs at the back of the shop too, and because it is always busy it’s a great place to bring kids - they can’t be heard over the normal cafe racket. I never leave without grabbing a loaf or two from Dean Brettschneider’s bakery at the back of the store. The onion baton and the fig and walnut loaf are my favorites.

This is where a lot of Remuera and Newmarket housewives love to lunch. I can see why. They have an amazing selection of vegetables and salad on offer everyday. It looks and tastes healthy. Plus it's also a deli so you can pick-up a bunch of antipasto or sauces to help you put the finishing touches on your dinner. 

If you’re a foodie (and aren’t we all?) you really can’t afford to go by Zarbo. You’ll find a unique assortment of deli foods and specialist items to wow friends and family with at home; or you can let the staff do the heavy lifting by having a bite to eat in their excellent cafe section, you'll find they offer an assortment of Breakfast and Lunch options as well as a mouthwatering spread of fresh baked goods. There’s sure to be something in here to tempt anyone. Gift vouchers are available and make a nice change from the usual bookstore/garden centre variety. A must visit when you’re in Newmarket!

Big cafe, big style.  Fine selection of fresh deli home baked dishes & goodies.   Modern  tasty food.  Large snacks, or small meals really.   They do cooked breakfasts, muffins, cakes, salads.. you name it they probably do it.  Then you can wander to the deli side of this large open area.  Pick up a few yummy treats or cooking necessities.  Nice setting  for an upmarket coffee in Newmarket.

A good selection of deli food that you cant get anywhere else. Can be a little bit on e spendy side.

Zarbo have lasted the distance because they offer the kind of solid deli fare you'd expect. It's not exciting or particularly varied but you know what you're getting & can pick up a few oils, sauces or other deli items to take home too.

Good thing they have glass over the cabinets to keep the drool off the food! Come in hungry, leave satisfied. Great cafe food, Zarbo do this better than almost anyone. There is parking upstairs but not heaps, make sure you give them your license plate when you order.
