Pop up shops or flash retailing are a current fad and their success has been proven on the North Shore.
The stores are essentially short-term retail spaces and provide a nice change in areas where customers are tiring of seeing the same stores over and over again.
A vintage clothes and jewellery store Passionata in Birkenhead tried also "popping up" in the Westfield Shore City centre and it was so successful, it's been invited back.
According to owner, vintage clothes and jewellery lover, Shannon Chester, the store had five weeks of success in the mall and over Mothers Day and now Passionata has been invited back again. Off the back of its popularity, the shop will now be open until New Year's Day.
Shannon says the the initial idea was to "create a display to promote the shop and entice customers to come over and say hi and to find out what we were about".
"Customers were excited to see us back. I think they get bored with the big stores and are happy to see something a bit different".
It's a magpie's delight if you're into vintage, accessories, beauty products, trinkets, bridal wear, sequin bags, perfume and rose scented soaps.
What's also great about this shop is that you can wander in with your bag of clothes and help is on hand with putting your outfit together.
Get down to Passionata Pop Up Shop, Level 2, Westfield Shore City, Takapuna for a rummage around one lunch time or weekend or visit the original store at 215 Hinemoa Street, Birkenhead.
