Best Thai Food in Wellington
- 12Easily the cheapest, most delish Thai in Wellington. Super quick, the staff know what they're up to, the menu is fairly extensive. They do both BYO and takeaway, and the dining area is pretty large, if you were thinking of taking a group. Highly reccomend the Tom Yum noodle soup.
- 24Phu Thai EsarnTe AroThe decor at Phu Thai is spectacular, and true to the cuisine. Everything from the lamps, to the ornate cutlery is just so adorable. They are BYO, which is always a plus when selecting a Thai restaurant, and the food is invariably fresh and delicious.
- 36Thai Chef provides decadent, authentic and fresh Thai food of such quality that is rarely seen in New Zealand. The staff are always super friendly, and willing to help you navigate the menu. They also do delivery, and are BYO on Sunday and Monday!

Everything on the menu is super delicious, and you get extra bonus points for not harming any animals for your dinner! The Tom yum soups are my favourite, with or without dumplings or noodles, and I wouldn’t say no to the wontons either.

The decor is quirky, with pinball machines and posters everywhere, it feels like stepping back into 90s bohemian Wellington.
