Paleo Guide
- 18Wilder And HuntSt HeliersA great paleo cafe in St Heliers. As it promises on their website the food is ‘sugar free, no grains and nutrient dense’. And most importantly it is delicious! I’m not a fan of healthy food that lacks flavour but the clever people at Wilder and Hunt have perfected the art of both. It’s also a nice space to hang out in too. A very happy addition to St Heliers!
- 220OrtolanaAuckland CentralOrtolana translates to ‘market gardener’ and they really do practise what they preach. The food is sourced locally, super fresh and delicious as well as healthy. They even have wine on the menu made on the owner’s property. And it’s good for breakfast, lunch and dinner so it doesn’t matter what time you come. Love this place.
- 314Orphans KitchenGrey LynnOrphans Kitchen has a great local bistro feel which I love. The menu is fantastic and plenty to choose from for Paleo peeps and their boil up is out of this world. Definitely one of Auckland’s finest restaurants. Happy dining!
- 46Wilder + Hunt PonsonbyPonsonbyWoohoo! Wilder and Hunt have come to my side of town. It is bigger and just as good as the St Heliers Store. I could have said better but I’d be exaggerating - they got it right the first time! There is a great selection of healthy paleo cabinet food and take home for dinner meals. I don’t know where to start when I come here. Oh and the coffee is divine! You can’t beat the organic cream with your cup of joe. Very happy addition to my hood.
- 55LOOP RestaurantKingslandI LOVE everything about this Kingsland local. The ethos, the food, the decor and the location. They are are stones throw from my gaff which is great. The staff are knowledgable and friendly. I started with the Duck Liver Parfait which was exquisite and then moved on to the slow braised beef. My mouth is now watering at the mere thought of this dish! Cooked to perfection it just melted in my mouth.
