Alleluya has such a great atmosphere - very K Rd and good for some people watching. Delicious food that has a good range of prices and fantastic coffee. There is nothing better than sitting in the beautiful arcade, drinking coffee and looking out over the city while being in a relaxed cafe. Usually quite busy but there is fast and efficient service and always a seat. :)
Alleluya Cafe is located at the rear of K Rd's St Kevin's Arcade overlooking Myer's Park. The cafe boasts a large number of tables in the middle of the arcade space, so there are a variety of different vistas patrons can contemplate over their coffee. The coffee is excellent - the number one reason I enjoy coming to Alleluya. The cafe space itself is filled with an interesting assortment of art and objects collected over the years. The menu is vegetarian friendly, and the cakes in the cabinet are delectable.
I've been coming here since the mid-90s and the food and service have never dipped below excellent in that time. Excellent cakes, good strong coffee and a wide range of menu and counter food, all served by slightly-too-cool but still fairly-nice hipster staff. A great spot for a quiet coffee, and - if you sit by the window - one of the nicest views in Auckland.
Best seating on K'Road in the spacious St. Kevin's Arcade, the closest you can get to outside without actually being outside... Breakfast Burrito rules our world, and Peter is the loveliest owner. Alleluya also hosts the bFM Breakfast Clubs on the last Friday of each month, where we broadcast a live performance amidst the tables & chairs at 8.35am.
Situated in the central palm-filled area of the lovely but scruffy St Kevin’s Arcade, this cafe is well worth a visit. For breakfast a must-have is the breakfast burrito: a tortilla filled with softly scrambled egg and a touch of chilli. Lunch dishes are tasty and generous. Cakes are a delicious selection of treats made on the premises. The perfect spot to settle down with a coffee and a good book.
Alleluya have been a mainstay of uptown Ak for many years and I'm so glad they're still around. Great cakes, yummy vege meals and my favourite - mismatched furniture. The location is also good - it has its own mini village in St Kevins Arcade, which makes it secluded and encompassing at the same time. It feels like going home when I go to Alleluya.
