Almost All New Zealand Books is a second hand books store with an extensive range of approximately 7000 books, most of which are published in New Zealand. Now located in Ribble Street (they have moved a couple of times since opening), the store is the brainchild of former journalist Tula Christian who initially started selling books at her local Sunday market.

With a relaxed atmosphere, comfortable couches and books available on all sorts of topics, the shop attracts many regular local customers and those passing through.

Almost All New Zealand Books is the little store that could. The well labeled shelves mean you can find a good book easily amongst the 7,000 others and you can even pick up some vintage topographical maps at bargain prices. Listen out for the pie warmer bell as the owner heats up his lunch in the room out back.
