If you are going to try a Pinot Noir, try Ata Rangi's amazing Pinot Noir, something Wairarapa is famous for. Made in the wine village of Martinborough, the winery has sustainable practices and is currently transitioning into a fully organic status which is good if you are environmentally conscious. You can get a tutored tasting of their full wine range from their friendly, wine-knowledgeable team - most days the cellar door is open.
