Baba's Curry Cafe

Babas curry cafe just off Puriri Road in Whenuapai serves up the meanest Indian feed in West Auckland - the service is awesome to with all the waiters and servers being super friendly. You can't miss the place driving past as its painted bright yellow and stands out like crazy. If you're in the area, snug up on the couch and give them a ring - they'll deliver straight to your door - Something I've done at least a dozen times as it's so easy. My favourite is their butter chicken, which has more taste than any I've ever tried, and their garlic naan (which I could easily smash back 3 or 4 of with a curry as they're so good). If you're in Greenhithe, Whenuapai, Herald Island or Hobsonville or Massey East give Babas a ring and get delicious, authentic Indian delivered straight to your door. If not Babas is well worth the long drive out west for some delightful curry deliciousness.

This a nice little place that has fantastic food an great service

We went to this restaurant last Tuesday. Finally we found the excellent place to eat. Food was extraordinary. We loved the service and we just felt like home. If you want to try something authentic I would say its one of the best places to eat in New Zealand as I have been to so many INDIAN Restaurants and I would say it was one of the best experiences we've had. We initially had ordered mains only but when I smelled chick tikka I couldn't resist. I ordered cigars and chick tikka it was not only tasty but fresh too. I will definitely go back, highly recommended….

We were the group of 30 people on my birthday in Babas last month. They made a perfect arrangement with decoration all around in the restaurant with my name written on the Balloons .Food was divine & people were friendly.The meals were reasonable as they provided the Buffet consisting everything from starters , mains to Dessert.They didnt charge the corkages & they got a cake for me from their side which was a unbelievable surprise for me.All the people left saying we would love celebrate our birthday here. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal n special evening they arranged for me. I will recommend everyone to go Baba's....

I am from France and my partner from Australia. We have been travelling all around the world. We are great fans of Indian food and had Indian food at many restaurants. Not sure whether the difference is in the ingredients they use or chef's are specially trained, the food at Baba's tasted exceptional, like never before. We were extremely pleased with the service and presentation. We had chicken tikka & a Seekh kebab entree, chicken saag and lamb vindaloo & lamb with almonds as mains and mango kulfi dessert. We ordered medium hot. Service was fast & staff was friendly, hotness was just about the right. We would strongly recommend this restaurant for Indian food, have fun...will go there again when we will visit Auckland ...

Came here for dinner with my partner upon the recommendation of a friend. Great settings, and prices were reasonable for the food portion sizes. Only downside was the price of mango lassi when it only came in a small glass, and the service was rather slow, so we ended up waiting for quite a bit for our food. Otherwise, great food, just need to be a bit quicker about service!
