Banzai Restaurant

Banzai is top notch for delicious but affordable Japanese food. They come from humble beginnings embracing the Japanese philosophies and never fail to greet you as you enter and exit the restaurant. The place is always buzzing and staff are always super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the beef or chicken yaki soba - full of flavour and zing with a good serve of vegetables to go with it. You'll never be disappointed coming here - the food is amazing and the staff are so welcoming - ultimate combo!

Love Banzai and it's the best Japanese that's decently priced! The teriyaki salmon is just delightful and the okonomiyaki is so crispy and light! #shoutme

We really enjoyed our dinner at Banzei last night. I tried Yakinuki beef, was delicious, and my friend enjoyed the Chili Lemon chicken noodle bow. The service is super polite and friendly, very professional. Presentation was really beautiful as well, and price was very reasonable. Would highly recommend #shoutme

This has to be our favourite Japanese restaurant! We've been coming here for at least 10 years, and it has always been great food at great prices and very friendly staff. We have also found it to be child-friendly too - both with some toys to play with during the wait, then delicious & healthy Japanese food aimed at kids humour (smiley faces in soy sauce).

On Dominion road, opposite Drum city great Japanese at cheap prices. worth booking on a Friday or Saturday as it gets busy. Really child freindly too!

This is my favourite Japanese restaurant in Auckland - the staff are lovely, the miso soup is the best you'll try (includes delicious Tempura balls) and the Melting Salmon is one of my top restaurant dishes ever - and it's so affordable! Great BYO destination also.

This place in Balmoral is awesome... The clean taste of true Japanese...Outrageous

I always come here when I need my belly filled up with out breaking the bank. The staff are always so friendly and the atmosphere is so authentic that I feel I've stepped into a time-space wormhole and have ended up in present-day Japan. My favourite here is the Katsudon and I really make the effort to come here as often as I can as the food is sooooo great and really priced affordably. 

I had lunch here and found it so great, I had to sign up to write a review!Aside from great pricing and yummy food, I witnessed the most amazing service I’ve seen in a long time. The waitress ran out with 2x takeaway misos to chase down a takeout customer who’d left about 2 mins earlier – she obviously found him, as she ran back 3 – 4 mins later empty handed, and straight in to grab a pad and take an order.I’m definitely coming back here!
