Basement Theatre

Had an amazing time at TJ McDonald last night...he was hilarious! Had never been to the basement studio before but it was pretty good for an intimate venue...Definitely a good place to keep an eye on in future...cheers localist!

Amazing night seeing Greg Ellis, so much laughter it brought on tears! Topped off with delicious eats from the Mexi Kai truck! Thank you for a lovely evening Localist

Great theatre shows here, they are definitely a good community theatre. I always find the staff here really genuine and friendly. They now have mexikali just outside selling Tacos before the shows, nice touch. Try the tacos they are good :)  Also iv'e noticed the flashy new bathrooms!! i always liked the scummy little one where you had to wait by the sink and chat with other theatre goers but its great its been updated.

A lovely little theatre tucked behind Queen St. Been here several times to see a variety of shows and have always enjoyed the venue. Great staff and easy parking make it a low hassle place to be.

The Basement is almost as much of a "venue" ie for music and parties, as it is for theatre. But theatre is what Basement does best. If you have never gone then check out what's on and go see some good theatre there. It often is one of the main venues for the Fringe Festival. Some of the standards have dropped a bit, but I think that the bathrooms are getting an over hall. But the theatre is great!

The Basement is a great little venue and its always worth keeping an eye on their upcoming shows. We really enjoyed the recent Basement Fest, looking forward to next year!
