Bastion Point is a coastal piece of land in Orakei overlooking the Waitemata Harbour.

The area plays a significant role in New Zealand history for its location in 1970s Māori protests against forced land alienation by the then ruling government.

A drive around to Mission Bay is always nice. I usually stop off at Bastion Point because the view of the city and Rangitoto from there is amazing!

Always comes here during summer for a nice walkabout, or just to soak up some sun. I love the views of our beautiful city!

Fly a kite at one of Auckland's iconic hills.

Getting some rays out at bastion point. Worth the bike ride and with tamaki Dr etc so close - a great place for a Saturday chill!!
