Every Wednesday night Bettys hosts a club night called TNC. At TNC a dizzying array of up and coming bands, DJs, electronic music performers and experimental musicians, from not just Wellington, but the whole of New Zealand (and sometimes overseas) perform for, drum roll please; free entry! If you want to get hip to what is coming next, Bettys on Wednesdays is the spot.

Love popping into Betty’s, Especially when Drew or his dad John are behind the bar! Bettys is a unique bar in Wellington, with about 9 projectors setup around the bar creating a seamless panoramic image on the walls. Every time you visit the walls are completely different, one moment you're looking at a massive landscape of a high-rise buildings, the next is a montage of photos from a company launch party. Such a unique space allowing you to literally customise the walls!

The sister bar of Hummingbird next door, Betty’s is like the younger party kid. You don’t even need to  drink to have fun at this bar – it’s walls are covered in projectors, and regular V.J’s (that’s video jockey) work in with D.J’s to make moving wallpaper to match the music. The cocktail menu is designed by  one of New Zealand’s and the world’s top barmen, Jason Clark, who does fun things with dry ice,  infusions, heating and freezing.
