North Shore residents voted this playground their favourite in 2005 and 5 years on it’s still a magnet for local kids (and parents too, it’s right by sandy Browns Bay beach with beautiful views). This is a really big playground. The giant wooden ship with it’s wiggly slide is great fun and it’s lovely to see a range of climbing features to challenge the kids and get some energy out! The six-way swing is freaky fun as you get to swing towards each other and the spinner is another favourite. The younger kids seem to love the wiggly bridge. Sneak over the road to the fish and chips shop while you’re there by the way, one of the best in Auckland :) Oh, and for the older kids there’s am excellent skate park right beside the playground.

    A nice place to go if you want a wide selection of cafes to choose from.

      Lovely food and atmosphere.

        Nice place to relax without having to go to far.

          Lovely to walk along with our dog, great for a lunchtime break, plenty of space to sit and think.

              Browns bay beach is a popular spot w the locals, paired with Penguino’s gelato on a nice summer day, you’ve got yourself the ultimate summer treat!

                  A fairly long beach, with lots of grass area and tress with tables and benches. Came here to film a friend’s birthday video. Was a particularly windy day and it was freezing. Would love to come back on a nicer, sunny day. Worth the drive I think!

                    This suburb is a hive of activity on a sunny afternoon and when the weather was good last week we grabbed some takeaway to have at the beach after work.  When we arrived there were people everywhere, families out enjoying the beachside, a great way to end the day!
