Cable Bay Holiday Park

Oh what a lovely spot to camp! The Cable Bay holiday park is a lovely, small, quiet camp ground close to the beach at Cable Bay. There are two camping areas - a more public space at the front and a quieter paddock at the back. Excellent and very clean kitchen and bathroom facilities, friendly staff and lovely ambiance. Just a short walk to the beach for a swim or stone collecting, or light a fire and watch the sun go down. There's a cafe next door (the Cable Bay Cafe) and also the Cable Bay Walkway, which takes you up on to the bluffs above the bay for stupendous views.

A Nelson Icon, Cable Bay is a lovely place to go for a weekend break with the kids. It’s a low-key Kiwi campground on a farm by the sea - what could be better? Take the kayaks, paddle boards, bikes and walking shoes and enjoy the lovely quiet bay. There’s a small cafe, Nelson is not far away if you need to stock up, and you are at the northern end of the Cable Bay walkway if you feel like a hike. Camp fires on the Cable Bay beach are a lovely family experience.
