Chalk 'n' Cheese takes the essence of Hawkes Bay and reflects it in their unique cafe. If you find yourself wanting something other than wine while in the Hawkes Bay, the coffee at Chalk 'n' Cheese is what you need. Opened by Hawkes Bay locals in September 2015, the cafe includes a sweet little cheese shop at the back, serving some of the best goats cheese you'll ever taste!

Sit with the kids on the sun drenched picnic tables, or inside near the bustle of this busy cafe. The menu is extensive and will surely please the whole family. Chalk 'n' Cheese feels relaxed and fun, fitting perfectly into it's location.

I've always loved Origin Earth's biologically farmed milk and artisan cow and sheep cheeses and they've just opened a cafe adjacent to the cheesemaking business and a cheese shop within. It's so good to have a good cafe back here on the bike trail in what was known as the Te Mata Cheese Factory.
