While the waterfront market on Sundays is always full of low-cost veges and gourmet delights, the City Market in the Chaffers Dock Building offers freshly-made or cooked treats from the likes of La Boca Loca, Martin Bosley, Yellow Brick Road and House of Dumplings, plus a different local restaurant/cafe/brewery/winery or cooking class each week!

Tons of fresh fruit and veges every weekend at the City Market.

Ok...so maybe some shameless self promotion but Eat & Greet have started cooking classes every second Sunday at Wellington's top foodie destination - The City Market. Past classes include a butchery class with Martin Bosley and dumpling making with Vicky from House of Dumplings (which sold out within 8 hours). All classes are intimate with only 10 people in each class and affordable at around $40-$50. And we will get to hang out so that will be fun!

Right next to the city’s Harbourside Markets are the indoor City Markets. Lots of yum handmade goodies, cheeses, dips, sauces and heaps of stuff ready to eat! While the Harbourside Markets are more about fresh produce, the indoor City Markets are more about eating now. Usually about 20 or so stalls inside, often live music of some sort, and always plenty of good things to eat on!
