The Dannevirke Gallery of History is located in the historic Old Court House building. Housing archives dating back to the 1870s, it gives a fascinating insight into the area's Scandinavian heritage and local history.

Visitors can view old photographs, artifacts, maps, letters, audio tapes, newspapers, archaeology records, natural history specimens and more.

With services available for genealogists, historians, academics, teachers and students, browse through their old shipping lists and see if your ancestors arrived from Norway or Denmark aboard the Hovding, Ballarat or Fritz Reuter.
