Famous for its sunny balcony in the heart of Mission Bay, De Fontein Belgian Beer Café boasts a superb Belgian Beer list and menu of Belgian Cuisine complemented by hearty New Zealand dishes.

This busy and lively restaurant provides a large upstairs dining area which leads on to that famous balcony, as well as a downstairs bar perfect for enjoying a drink and snacks with friends.

Try the famous steaming mussel pots and mussel platters and few can go past the waffles or chocolate mousse on the comprehensive dessert menu.

De Fontein is THE place to be on a Tuesday night with half priced desserts! Who doesn’t love desserts? This place is always packed with people and they have pretty good food to boost! :) Always a lively atmosphere and lots of friendly staff & cool drinks. Great place to hang with family & a group of friends or just a little date night with your special someone! :)

              All of these places are great, especially this one due to it's fabulous views. It also has THE MOST amazing mussels. And then there is the beer! Those massive glasses of Hoegarten! So so good. I recommend taking the bus or not being the sober driver if dropping in here.

                Popped in for a drink one Saturday night. The staff were lovely! The menu also looked delish, and some fries that headed to a table nearby smelled divine so will have to be back to try them.

                    This is a great place, its always packed and it has great views of Mission Bay.  It is a lovely place in summer and the menu is good - lots of seafood and a large selection  of beers.  The only downfalls of this place is the parking (there is heaps but it gets very busy) and it can get quite crowded in the restaurant but if you book ahead and don't mind a bit of a walk then it will be fine :)
