Having finished dinner at Elliot Stables I fancied something sweet. I ended up stumbling accross Delectable Desserts ib onr of the far corners of the food hall. Out of the limited range of puds I chose the lemon meringue pie. It arrived served with a lemon sauce. The meringue was soft and spongy, the lemon filling was sweet with just the right tartness and the pastry was soft and buttery. I couldn’t finish the slice and my dinner partners all hooned in to help get the job done. At $10 I thought it was rather reasonable and I’m looking forward to trying a few of the other options.
I had a wee look at this place yesterday and their desserts looked absolutely amazing. There was what I believe to be a lemon meringue pie in the window looking extremely tempting. We were only there for lunch and couldn't really fit anything in. Their prices seemed to range from $10 to $15, so a bit on the pricey side for a lunchtime dessert treat. But I think we may have to go back for a dessert and coffee fix one day soon.
