Great spot to go for oysters! My fave!

Depot is just great, every time! We especially love stopping in for breakfast.

Lovely :)

I can't get enough of Depot. It's the best way to eat - amazing food and service without the stuffy white table cloth experience. Love it!!!

Lovely :)

Takes a while to get a table as they don't take bookings, but if you have the time, it's worth the wait! Al Brown himself rushes around and takes the time to come and have a chat. Amazing honest food, lovely surroundings, kiwi decor. Love it!

Sounds great :)

When I finally got to go to depot for my partner's birthday I was super excited (and not just because his parents were paying) - this place has a reputation for excellent seafood and it doesn't disappoint! Try the sliders and the oysters - nom nom nom!

This place has arguably the best sharing plate menu in Auckland.

Must see :)

Depot Eatery is a humming restaurant that really lives up to the hype. The food is fantastic, the service equally so and it is a fun place to do some people watching while you drink and eat. I have been twice as a treat and it is absolutely the place to indulge in a bottle of Bollinger, whether for lunch or a dinner celebration, and try as much on the menu as possible. The oysters are fresh and plentiful and notable dishes for me include the potato skins with gouda and porcini salt, the meltingly soft turbot sliders, kingfish belly with kasundi and the crisp iceberg wedge with ranch dressing. The fish changes often and the whole menu is dictated by the seasonal produce available. Well worth the hour long wait for a table so don't give up.

Superb :)

Have wanted to come here for ages and when I finally got the chance, was not disappointed! Had a quick snack of the snapper sliders and fried courgette flowers. Love receiving the complimentary bread, so yummy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Such a great buzz about this place but be warned as they don't take bookings here, it's usually crazy busy. Really want to come here for breakfast and can't wait to come back!
