If you fancy a nice hearty meal with a cold beverage watching the footy, Dickens Inn is where it's at. This place reminds me of a comforting English pub, with it's warm fires and wonderful staff! I really enjoy the quiz nights they put on every Tuesday leading up to summer. Great atmosphere, brilliant service, hearty meals - Giant thumbs up!
Cupping a big bowl of hearty soup next to an open fire is a dream come true at Dickens Inn. They have a soup of the day that comes with thick slices of grilled parmesan sourdough. Last time I went they had a really yum vege soup that made me feel really healthy. They also have a magic seafood chowder choc-a-block with fresh fish, mussels, squid, cockles and prawns. Bliss!
I love this quaint cuddly hole of a restaurant. The theme is sweet and goes with the beautiful exterior of the building. They do true English hearty meals here. If you’re ravenous I can recommend the ‘Fat Boy Burger’ from the bottom of my heart. It’s got a grilled wagyu pattie AND a chicken thigh in it - humongous!
