I love everything about Eighthirty coffee from their take-home beans with a signature roast of orange blossom and a hint of vanilla right through to the cup of joe they serve out of their lo-fi digs in K'Rd. This is a place for coffee aficionados, like me. You want find frills and lots of food and all that jazz. Sure there's a couple of nice cabinet options and delicious cakes from their fellow K'Rd local Jordan Rondel AKA The Caker but this is a place where coffee is the rightful star. I love an Eighthirty roast because it's smooth, strong and lingers for a long, long time. When I need a kick in the pants and some pep in my step, I come here. Oh and the coffee art is awesome! Love you Eighthirty - see you Monday.

This is always bursting with people waiting for a delicious coffee. I absolutely love the way they make a great Mocha. Bonus that they are near by to my work :)

This is the best coffee in K Road if not Central Auckland! They use organic coffee and roast their own coffee... Mmmmm and thanks... :-)

Eight Thirty is not so much a cafe but a roastery with coffee making abilities! The cafe is pretty minimal, from the decor to the limited selection of counter food. This means that the focus is on the coffee, which it should be. The coffee really is very good and the Eight Thirty experience doesn’t have to stop as it is a great place to grab a bag of house roasted beans.

This week Jordan Rondel a.k.a The Caker released a baking book called 50 New and Unusual Cake Recipes. In the spirit of the release, I dropped by Eight Thirty (where she sells her baked goods) to pick up a treat. When I arrived there was only two lonely gluten free white chocolate & raspberry/rhubarb cakes left. I wasn’t disappointed. There’s a reason the Caker’s goodies are popular, they are straight up heavenly.

Another unassuming spot, serving up exceptional coffee. They also have sweets from The Caker and a small selection of fresh salads.

Best coffee in Auckland hands down. A morning regular for our entire office. #gohealthynz

Eight Thirty is a place for coffee lovers or coffee addicts like myself. The coffee is not just good, it’s great. There is no other way to start your day than with a good coffee and Eight Thirty does not disappoint. "this may just fix everything" is printed on the takeaway cups and I can assure you, their coffee does fix just about everything. I’ve only ever quickly grabbed a coffee from Eight Thirty but I’m keen to return and sit watching the bustling K’Rd go by.

Nothing rocks my morning like a hot, strong coffee and the crew at Eight Thirty have it down to a fine art. This is a straight-up coffee lovers’ joint - not a cafe . There’s always a few sweet and savory treats on offer if you are peckish but come here for the brew and you’ll never be disappointed. Plus if you love their coffee as much as I do, you can buy a bag of beans for the machine at home. There is also a great barista that uses Eight Thirty beans at Ponsonby Central and I love them so much that I’ve started to look out for them wherever I go.

Eight Thirty make a really smooth and delicious hot chocolate, you will want to make time in your morning to stop in and pick one up before you start your day. Sometimes it can be a little embarrassing ordering a hot chocolate at a coffee roasters but this is the time to put those fears aside, be proud of your chocolate persuasion, bite the bullet and just do it because once you take a sip you will be in chocolate milk heaven.
