Empire Tea and Coffee is a great wee café for brunch with friends, coffee catch-ups with colleagues and a break away from weekend wanders around town.

With a cabinet stocked full of freshly baked goods and an award winning barista, you’ll not only fall in love with the food but also the delicious coffee.

Empire has a great indoor atmosphere and on a sunny day, make the most of the exquisite courtyard out the back.

This café has such personality in my books, they have cute little saucers in linear arrangements up on the wall. I love this place in summer; you have the option of eating outdoors in the courtyard which is surprisingly nice with a hot coffee or even an iced one! One of their baked goods would definitely be the perfect complement to their coffee, they’re all freshly made in the morning!

    If you can nab a spot out in the courtyard in the sunshine then you're onto a winner. They serve locally roasted Inca-Fe coffee in colourful cups and it would be rude not to have a slice (or two) of their fresh home made cakes. Well worth stopping in at Easter if you have the time.
