Event Cinemas Queen Street

This is a nice place to go and enjoy with your friends :)  Screen sizes are nice and big... you can always go a little early and buy your tickets to ensure you have good seats.  Ask the customer service person to give you seats in the middle... they are usually very good at helping you out :)

If you want to enjoy the true comfort of watching a movie in gold class with a wine glass in hand then try out event cinemas on queen and you will not be disappointed. Also if you want to experience the true thrill of seeing a movie on the big big screen, then check out IMAx. it will give you a truly different experience.

GOld class was once upon a time the best thing available but after trying La Premiere at Sylvia Park i am no longer as convinced. Gold class has good leg room and the seats are comfortable but i do find them a little short like my whole legs don't quite make the leg rest, my problem mainly is that they are seats and single seats at that, there is not much chance to snuggle up and get cozy while watching a movie like a date night should be. the candy bar and food options are good, and i love the fact there is still pic and mix but i do find i get lost on my way out if i use the stairs... Nice but not perfect.

I cant get enough of the event cinemas....their service and cleanliness is amazing! Albany is my favourite. I hope they keep up the good image!

Tonight we visited Gold Class for a private screening. Seats are soooo comfy, wish it could have fit in my handbag to take home!! Food was good - we ordered the asian selection which was bought to us. Yum. Popcorn and icecreams, you can't go wrong!! Only let down was the projector was playing up so the movie started about 45 minutes late - BUT the staff were great and very apologetic, and gave us all drinks :) So we'll be back!

The actual cinema screens here are great, as is the sound system. But expect to wait a really long time for tickets, even at relatively quiet times. When I went there on Saturday the was a queue of 30+ people and only two staff members serving. Add to that that every ticket transaction involves a hard sell you popcorn/ice-creams etc., arrive early.

me and my patner tryed gold class a few weeks ago it was fantastic!! We also pre ordered dinner so we got dinner brought to us during the movie and could also order more drinks ect. Was very relaxing lieing back in the lazy boy seats. Was a great experience, defently something everyone has to try at some stage!!

I usually go to the Event Cinemas in Albany so thought Id go someplace different to try it out. I didn't think it was up to the same standards. I felt like the place/set up was AMAZING with all the different levels but the staff let us down. they weren't very friendly and lacked energy - they didn't smile once. However, cheap tuesday is always a blast and the timezone there is pretty awesome. Would go back but would prefer to go to albany.
