If you need free range pork or chicken or organic produce head to farro.

    Clearly not the kind of place to do *all* your grocery shopping (unless you're the kind of person to have a "My Other Car is a BMW" sticker on your SUV) but a great place to find that extra something-special on the way home from Pak N Save. There are always things to try on the weekend, and the bakery section is consistently excellent - especially the salted soft pretzels. The staff are friendly, and the "vibe" is nice. Just like owning an Apple computer, shopping at Farro makes you feel like you're a slightly better human being than everyone else.

      This is heaven for anyone seeking good food and/or good coffee.  The cupcakes are delicious and make a really lovely birthday treat. We often go there just for the good value fruit and veg, but it is hard not to be side-tracked by the many, many temptations.

        Make sure you check out all Farro has to offer over the weekend. Its a one stop shop supermarket that stocks a vast range of products which they show case as the best of New Zealand. Cooking demonstrations occur regularly. Make sure you take advantage if the loyalty card they offer.

          The original, and IMHO the best, Farro. Always lots of amazing food. They do a great job a stocking a great range of products so often you don't need to go to the supermarket at all. Grab a coffee, have a taste of what's on offer and leave with a full trolley
