Flash City doubles as a flash-only tattoo parlour as well as a barbershop. The barbers and tattoo artists are extremely friendly and the barbershop banter is half of the experience. Pop in for a haircut on Thursday night for a complementary beer with your cut!

    Feel like a tattoo straight away? Then head up to Flash City where you can pick a design of the flash cards on the wall and have it done immediately. Each design is done slightly differently so your tattoo will still be unique.

      If you want a classic cut and a razor shave head to Flash City where they have set up in the spirit of a traditional barber shop. If you feel inclined you can get a tattoo while you are there from the hundreds of designs lining the walls.

          Ponsonby’s new tattoo shop Flash City does not offer any custom tattoo designs. Instead customers choose from the tattoo flash (sheets of designs), that cover the walls of the small shop. There’s a bunch of rad designs all hand drawn by the tattooists at Two Hands Tattoo next door. Each day a different artist mans the shop (pictured is Josh Solomon), so if you’re after someone in particular keep an eye out when they're in the shop. If you’re up for a haircut or wet shave, there’s also a barber in the adjoining room!

            Flash City is a is a tattoo shop with a twist, harking back to the days where tattoo shops started in the back of a barber's. You can get a classic cut and a razor shave as well as an original design penned by the Two Hands tattoo artists and guest artists from around the world. The artwork is all pinned up on the wall and each tattoo will differ each time.
