If you don't like seafood, then the selection is a bit dull, but even if you like a little seafood then this place is pretty good. I'd recommend waiting for a deal, cos it's a bit expensive, but the view is of course amazing. The dessert bar is awesome, much better than most buffet places, but the drinks selection is pretty average - just the standard beers and wines you find everywhere. I'd certainly go back though!

i come here for special occasions with my family, and i love the place. the food is always perfectly cooked, and the view is amazing. the staff are polite and the service is efficient. 5 stars! love this restaurant

A great place to take the family out for dinner. They always have a variety of sea food on offer. The buffet is well worth the money you pay and they constantly update their menu.Check out their christmas or new year menu- you'll never be disappointed

Awesome seafood. I have to say this to begin with because if you like meat this really isn’t for you. I know the menu online has more than 3-5 meat dishes but when we were there, there were only 3 meat dishes. Lamb chops, ham on the bone and chicken. There is wide variety in seafood though. Peruvian scallops are a must try and the crabs and smoked kowhai. The food is amazing add that to the magical view makes for a gorgeous night out.

My friend will be visiting from the US, and i'm definitely taking him to the Observatory. It offers a great view, and although the food is nothing mind blowing, its definitely 100000 times better than cheap buffet food, and a lot more interesting. The service team consists of members of various nationalities, so if English isn't a forte for you or your visiting friends, they might be able to accommodate you and your crew. Over all, a great place to dine and to gaze into the landscape. You might come across a wobbly table, seems like some of them are like that, but just call a waiter over, and he'll help you fix the problem (as our waiter helped with our table.

I was here for the second time on the opening night of rugby world cup 2011. Possibly the best place to see the amazing fireworks. Not too crazy about the food however..

If you want to go up the skytower at night, a trip to the Observatory is a fantastic deal as you'll get a full tummy too at this all you can eat restaurant. Food is ok for a buffet, desserts are great!
