Frederic’s I would say is more of a fancy kind of restaurant/ pub if that’s your bag, and sometimes that’s all you feel like. Being wined and dined by their awesome wait staff has been a great memory for me, and their food is delectable! They stress that their beers are always cold and waiting for you, with an impressive selection of craft beers and ciders; which I must admit has become a new obsession of mine!
Frederic’s is a great bar and is only quite new to the whole craft beer scene, but better late than never! They feature a beer of the month and usually it’s a craft beer, this month it’s Monteith’s Golden Lager that’s taken the number one spot. It has a smooth malty character with a cashew nut flavour that is crisp and refreshing at any time of the day. It’s definitely worth coming in at least once a month to sample the favourite beer.
Fredericks have a steak menu like no other in New Plymouth. There four different steak options weighing from 200g to 300g, like the Green Meadows Sirloin, doesn’t that sound amazing! If that’s not impressive, they also have the choice of five different sauces as well as SIX different choices of sides like green salad or chips! It makes me want to get my car and drive down there right now for a meal! For only $5 they can add on whole Garlic Prawns, bargain!
