The Frog & Kiwi is owned by French couple David Bonametti and partner Nathalie. A cafe by day and restaurant by night, you can enjoy a range of authentic French meals and choose from a selection of great French wines. The staff are friendly and meals are beautifully presented and full of flavour. Call in for lunch, dinner or a coffee and croissant. Read the story of how the restaurant came into being which is written in both French and English on the wall.
The chef also puts on themed evenings where he shows off his culinary skills with meals from the French Caribbean, Spain and Italy.

If there’s anyone who knows how to have a long lunch, it’s the French! These guys are a real treat so you should take your time to languidly enjoy their lunch menu. My beef carpaccio was amazing, while the venison and duck were tenderly cooked. Frog & Kiwi are worth every penny!

    This charming, cosy little gem of a restaurant is a great choice for dinner with an incredible menu of French-NZ food and an exciting drinks list for wine-lovers.
