Greymouth Sunday Markets are what local is all about. After much consultation with the local council, it was decided that local and regular markets were needed.

So Ali and her team stepped in and with the help of Judy, who had set up the successful Motueka Sunday markets, they set about to look for the perfect location: the local polytechnic: Tai Poutini.

Two years later, the Greymouth Sunday Markets are still going strong and you can visit any Sunday of the year and pick up something uniquely from the coast.

An awesome place to hang on Sundays is the Greymouth Sunday Markets. There’s a lot to buy and look at this famous community market, including coffee, cake and Thai food, as well as clothes, shoes and bric-a-brac!

    If you’re in Greymouth in the weekends, head to Greymouths Farmers Market. Get yourself some affordable fresh fish and seafood from the stallholders. Head along and pick up a week’s worth of fish and then head back the following weekend to restock!
