This award-winning European-styled butchery is a pleasure to visit and shop. Established in 1873 it remains in its original building which adds to its old-school atmosphere. There is an extensive range of beef and lamb cuts as well as gourmet lamb dishes like Horopito lamb meatballs, prune and apricot mini lamb roasts and rosemary and pepper rolled shoulder roast. They are famous for their massive range of gourmet sausages including manuka smoked beef and lamb with cracked pepper and merlot. As well as meats, they offer spices, rubs, sauces, eggs, cheese and other locally made goods.
