Huge huge huge burgers … they have flavour .. all fillings match

if ever out west and forgot to eat before getting home... these guys ROCK. Great chips, awesome burgers..Hell yes

Haddads in Te Atatu Peninsula is an institution. Their food fits into the usual fast food genre (tasty, not super healthy) but their notable feature is that they are always open late. If you’ve been out on the town and are heading out west it is the perfect place to stop and grab the greasy hit your body craves!

Haddads has been a local favourite for years.  I still remember the milkshakes after school back in the day! But great value and quality food . . . try the yokkum burger . . . it's like nothing you've had before.  And their rotisserie chickens are awesome

There’s a hidden gem in West Auckland that many locals have never heard of – it’s called Haddads. It’s been said by many loyal customers it’s the "Best in the West" for burgers, and is like a local icon to Westies who are looking for a good feast day or night. I agree 100% with them as I have been coming here for at least four years and every time I’m impressed.   As soon as you pull up to these takeaways, you’ll see people ordering food day and night which is a good sign that it’s popular. There’s good parking outside the shop so you’ll have no problems getting here. The outside of the shop was clean and I saw on the wall they have an A rating for food hygiene which is excellent. They have a main board which you can order from that has a wide variety of choices like toasted sandwiches, burgers, milkshakes, chips, fish, and half or full rotisserie chickens. They also offer meal deals with burger, chips, and drink for a very reasonable price.   I went for the egg burger and medium chips and also ordered a meal combo for $8.00 which included an egg burger, small chips and can of soft drink which you can choose from the fridge.   The takeaway is open from 10am in the morning till late weekdays and on Friday and Saturday nights until 3am - perfect for a late feed before heading home from a night out.

Great review for a great place, but why just 2 1/2 stars?

Oops! Was meant to be five stars, my bad. Fixed now. :)

The guys at Haddad are always soooo friendly, and they are extremely efficient, and hardworking, and cook us a wonderful take out meal, when we feel like something yummy, and not home-made!   There is such a lovely variety, and it is always so fresh and well cooked... and plenty of it.   There rotisserie chickens are "to die for", and beautiful and moist with a great crispy skin, and stuffing!!  We have been going here all the 30 years of being in Te Atatu, and they are always A1!!

Thanks for the tip!

Nice portions, very clean and lovely warm people. Nice local takeaway and the only one I would buy from

Haddad has a generous menu ranging from kebab and falafel to burger and fish and chips. They also have an enormous choice in milkshake and thickshake flavours.  It's a takeway counter on mainstreet. Haddad offers a number of meal deals, starting at $8. The menu is easy to read, displayed on board above the counter. The service is quick, but street noise makes it hard to hear someone speak. The portions are very generous. Parking is available right outside. Not sure about the opening hours.

Haddads is a local Te atatu Peninsula institution and well worth a stop in to try one of Auckland's best kebabs. They use fairly thick pita bread which is delicious and really soaks up all the delicious juices of your succulent filling. It is open very late and every day except sunday (i think!). My favourite thing to do if i am driving home from town and can't be bothered to cook is to order one before I get on the motorway, and then 7 minutes later when I hop off the motorway into Te atatu my kebab is ready- I just pay for it and eat it yum yum yum. Definitely worth a drive by!!

Haddads go over and above your average scoop of chips, they serve their chips with garlic or chicken salt and they serve superdog hotfogs- the best hotdog in town with onions, mustard, ketchup and BACON- alongwith a super soft roll and a tasty sausage. Six bucks for one of those! Worth a trip out to Te Atatu if you're not local.
