Its name suggests it trades in "hot bread", but don’t let that fool you – this place has an impressive range of pies. I only wish it were somewhere more convenient than Hataitai – though perhaps that’s for the best. I’ve heard good things about the steak and cheese, though my favourite is the classic mince. The HHBS is open late on weekends.

    Best bakery around. I recommend the delicious coffee buns. Also recently they’ve started a new range of healthy wholemeal sandwiches for just $4. Pick up a drink and be on your way with a cheap and delicious lunch.

      For gourmet cream donuts, and pies.

        Try the custard twist....you'll never be able to choose anything else from here again!
