Known for their roasting techniques that enhance the caffeine content, their coffee is often described as "Coffee you feel".

Roasting excellence is in their blood and it's worth dropping by to pick up a bag of beans and sip on some java.

Since I met one of the bosses, and found him to be a very cool guy, Ive taken a more active interest. Ive noticed the enthusiasm of the staff, the presentation, the overall vibe. Its an excellent business, and uniquely Wellington. Well done you guys, you're doing what you do very well.

As close to the source as you can possibly get. Have a coffee where they make the coffee! Dave - Wellington wedding photographer - Von photography

I remember clumsily wondering into Havana Coffee Works, still numb from my workout at the gym down the road, and losing myself in the aroma that fills the place. It was intense, and I've heard it still is. But the good kind, the kind that makes you want to bathe in coffee beans. My usual order would be fixed up in a jiffy and was consistently hot and dreamy. The staff are lovely and the music welcoming, this is why the locals choose to zone out here during those awfully windy Wellington days.

We're lucky enough to have an espresso machine at work... and we won't buy beans from anywhere except Havana. Delicious, rich, strong coffee #shoutme

Bright and energizing.

This dark roasted coffee bean is a Wellington icon, situated on upper Tory, the roastery is a hub for coffee afficionadios.

Tucked away on Francis Place (next to where you retrieve your undelivered mail) is Havana’s cafe and roastery - which you can tour to learn more about the coffee process. The cafe staff are awesomely friendly and it’s a great spot for a relaxed cuppa or breakfast, or to meet up with friends or contacts, just slightly away from the busy city.
