This family-orientated baker have Napier covered with four bakeries in the city and even won the national title of Baker of the Year. Expect some good family-sized pie portions. Try the local 'Mag Pie', steak, bacon and cheese. Absolutely meat-lovers heaven.

You don’t get named New Zealand’s Bakery of the year six times and win the Great Kiwi Pie Competition or Hawke’s Bay Business of the Year unless you make the cut. Just step through the door of any of the five Napier outlets in the CBD, Marewa, Green Meadows or either of the two in Taradale and you can see why. They bake delicious and unique products or twists on old favourites – try the Elephant’s Foot, a big, sweet, spicy loaf with coffee icing or the gluten-free mousse cake or Black Forest and vanilla slice. As well as choices for the everyday menu Heaven’s Bakery is a great place to shop for a special lunch, picnic or just to feed the extended family. Breads, savouries, coffee, cakes and milkshakes and their own brand of Heaven’s Grove Estate olive oil and Dukkah.

When a business has won the NZ baker of the year 6 times then you would hope that their bread is a cut above. Luckily the bakers at Heaven's Bakery does deliver with the best hot cross buns in Napier. Of course you can never stop at just one.
