Services

Visas can be very complicated with various loopholes and requirements. Every individual case is different which is why you must seek our experienced advice so we can explore every option and find the best solution for you. Here are some of the main guidelines for each type of New Zealand visa.

Student Visa

The usual way to qualify for a student visa is to pay your tuition fees for full time study up front. This allows you to stay for as long as your study takes place or for a maximum of four years. While studying you’ll be allowed to work up to 20 hours a week and full time on vacation without a further visa.

Family Visa

A family member who is already a New Zealand citizen or resident can sponsor you to come to New Zealand if you are their partner, dependent child or parent. To sponsor a family member you must be able to prove your immigration status and abide the law.

Working Visa

There are a number of different visas that apply to different working situations. The most common ones to apply for are the Skilled Migrant Visa, Work to Residence Visa, Residence from Work Visa, Work Permits and the Working Holiday Visa. We’ll identify which category suits your individual immigration situation best and work to get you the best results.

Business Visa or Investor Visa

These visa types are designed to encourage New Zealand’s economic growth by attracting ‘smart’ capital and business expertise and enabling experienced business people to buy or establish businesses in New Zealand. There are different requirements that vary on how much money you have to invest and the minimum amount of time you must spend in New Zealand.

Permanent Residency Visa

This is the next step for those who have already held a residency visa for at least two years continuously. You must additionally meet health and character requirements and have met one of the five commitment to New Zealand criteria. This criteria ranges from time spent in New Zealand, to investments and how established you are.

Refused Visa

Some common reasons people may be denied a visa include:

Not eligible under sections 15 and 16 of the Immigration Act 2009

You are unlawfully in New Zealand when you apply

You do not meet our health or character requirements

You are likely to stay in New Zealand unlawfully or you would breach the conditions of your visa
