This small rocky island is about 40 minutes from the Tauranga boat ramp at Sulphur Point, Tauranga and it’s a scenic spot for catching snapper. The occasional school of Kahawai come though in warmer months, especially in 15 to 25 metres of water, making for some great sport fishing. Trawl the area using small lures and watch for birds to indicate bait fish schools. Enjoy!
