Delish! Enjoyed everything I tried here – dumplings, the awesomely crispy fried chicken, and the grilled skewers (the prawn with bacon was probably the favourite). Plenty more to try next time.

    This place is delicious, I love Japanese and this place is pretty authentic. The staff are friendly and helpful and there's plenty of options on the menu plus it's well priced. If you've got a group it's worth booking the semi-private room which is perfect for a smallish group.  

      Awesome food. It’s really cool when you get a seat by the grill and you get to watch your dinner being looked!

        Yummy Yakitori here at Ken K Rd! Warm & friendly service from the staff too, well done! :-)

          Absolutely fantastic - you can smell the yakitori before you even reach the restaurant! We loved it and wish we could eat here daily. Service and food are best! Lots of options for food and drink that make you wonder if you haven't accidentally flown to Japan!

            What an awesome authentic Japanese dining experience! The chicken hearts were a surprising hit in my group of Japanese food novices! I love the small but frequent courses which allow you to experience a wide variety of flavors and textures without busting your wallet (and your belt!!) The perfect place to take a date, or a group of friends or work acquaintances.

              This restaurant is definitely in my top 5 list of great Japanese restaurants to go to in Auckland! Seriously good food!

                Yummy bite sizes to share. Lots of gorgeous flavours. Always good with a few people, more reason to over order and try lots of things.

                  These guys are not THE best Yakitori in the city but they are a definite 2nd. Ken Karangahape rd seems to be more consistant than the Anzac ave restaurant. They do look after you here and it helps a little bit if you make an effort with your Japanese phrases you learnt in school. Its very authentic Yakitori.  I've had about everything on the list and everything's good. Go for the Happy hour, the japanese beer is worth it. This restaurant is a staple in my regular hot spots of the city. 

                    Thankfully there is always room here. It is always so slammed at those spots under the Comedy Club. Octopus Balls. Asahi from the tap. Not the worst way to kill an evening.
