Quite possibly home of the best long black in town.

Fabulous coffee!

They not only make good coffee, Kokako source and roast their own coffee beans on-site! What’s more, you can even buy the beans fresh to take home.

There is so much light in this cafe! It has great vibes for constructive conversation - the space is very versatile, so great for gathers of 2 to 8 people!

The best local cafe! Amazing coffee that makes waking up on a Sunday worth it!

Well balanced with a long finish

This organic beauty is at 537 Great North Road in Grey Lynn has a range of coffee options. They love Coffee and everything that goes with creating a wonderful coffee experience for you. Buzzy invigorating and lively- Like your coffee!

Nice staff! So yum

Kokako is not only a vegetarian haven, with all meals on offer completely vege, organic and fair trade where possible, they are also very flexible with gluten free options. There are already gluten free dishes on the menu like the Mexican spiced organic adzuki beans with a corn tortilla, tangy cabbage salad and tomatillo and jalapeño sauce or the breakfast options - buckwheat ricotta pancakes with poached pear and creme fraiche and the spiced coconut and vanilla rice porridge. Anything with bread can be customised to include gluten free bread, such as the mushroom medley and avocado that i had, and the coffee and smoothies are delicious.

Kokako offers up some of the best brunch options in town, all vegetarian, some vegan and many gluten free. Meat lovers will barely know the difference though as the flavours are so fresh and tasty, and they even do kid sized portions if you’ve got small people on board. My fave is the organic hash (above) with the porridge coming a close second.
