La Porchetta Auckland Central

Got Take away pizza twice (cheapest in town and actually pretty nice too) and also went there for a work dinner, with a big group, and it was very nice. I had bruschetta pizza with mozarella, which I love. When the order came, they melted the mozarella but I wanted it fresh, so I asked and they put extra fresh mozarella on top (for free) good service ! Everyone else enjoyed there food, one of us had to wait long, too long, but after we asked the order came out straight away! Will return, but just for take away I think.

For starters, it was half packed with people but we asked for a booth and got one, which was great. We ordered within 5 mins of sitting down and the food started to arrive 10mins after. The pizza was really great and the main size was huge! The pasta was good but the bacon that was in it, was pretty gross. It was more like ham and was diced into tiny cubes. The service was good and we had many different waiters ask how our meal was and also offered us chilli flakes and parmesan cheese. Fries were ok as a side, the seasoning was awesome but the quality of the fries wasnt so great.

Whenever I'm in town I always go to La Porchetta. Top marks from me because: The service is super fast. Tthe food is very yummy and is always served peeping hot. You always have a free jug of water on the table. PLUS you can order Coke by the jug instead of individual glasses! The large pizzas are huge. I recommend Margharita. They also have a takeway service. The servings are huge, they are categorised as S, M and L (small, medium and large). And the large is huge! PLUS there's parking at the back! PLUS the prices are very very cheap! I highly recommend everyone to give it a go.

It’s cheap so that’s a plus. I like to grab an entree size pasta with some garlic bread to mop up he sauce.

... or maybe the Denny's. This is not particularly authentic, but the pizzas are generous and the quality of the toppings is good - the cheese is excellent and they don't scrimp on the toppings. The restaurant is usually noisy and chaotic and you're usually in and out pretty quick, but recommended if you're with a big and budget-conscious group of people wanting hearty comfort food.

Cheap food, great for a big group of people but the food is a bit tastless  

La Porchetta is kinda like Burgerfuel of Italian Restaurant. It's decent enough, a little nice than bottom tiered fast food restaurants, but not exactly gourmet either. I find their pasta and pizza does the job of filling you up. But it's not exactly something to write home about.
