Romance and this weekend go together pretty well, and if your going to go out for dinner. You probably should go all out, recommendations are difficult, but my pick would be Le Canard in Thorndon. With a commitment to the cuisine of South West France, providing degustation menus and a variety of excellent plates sure to please. It’s a must visit anyway if your into French Cuisine and somewhere that would be perfect for your romantic night.

    Creme brûlée and their express lunch menu

      A must for duck lovers. Beautiful French food in lovely Thorndon. Try their profiteroles! And if you’re feeling extra fancy, they have a degustation menu too.

        The duck was amazing, didn't want it to finish. Highly recommend, well worth the price

              Le canard serves up classy South Western French fare. It’s a sophisticated and classical setting in an old stand-alone house in Thorndon, and does great French food how the way you always imagine French fare should be. You’ll eat duck, snails, and truffle over everything. Take your best bottle of red and a loved one.
