Relatively new to the Auckland foodie / bar scene, Libertine down by Victoria Park have quickly established themselves as a great spot to lock in with friends for a night out, whether dining or drinking. Their cocktails are particularly attention grabbing, including this killer julep that will have you downing the bourbon and asking for more. The chili ginger mojito (a.k.a. the Libertino) is a must-try too.

    Great service, great food, great collection of people, a perfect way to spend a Friday night, let alone any night (or day for that matter)

      Would you look at that aspect? The most lofty strip in Auckland, impeccable wait staff, yummy drinks!

        Someone brilliant decided to take over the fantastic Libertine for an evening - turning a New York-esque dining establishment into a live music venue from 9pm onwards. The South American fare is reputed to be well worthwhile, so why not eat a fantastic meal at Libertine (of course you Love it on Localist if it’s fabulous)? Then, of course, get up and have a dance to the stalwart bands SJD and Goodshirt. WHEN Saturday 2nd March from 9pm PRICE $5 on door

              Having heard a bit about Libertine I wondered what it would be like. It was quieter than I expected, but that was good as we were dining. I liked the ambience and space, and particularly enjoyed the lamb and leek combo. Would go again.

                A newish place tucked in on the same street as one of my old favorites, La Zeppa, and a few steps away from Sale Street, Libertine in another welcome addition to the Auckland bar scene. Inside it's all modern, clean and shiny and the outside courtyard has heaters for colder evenings. Prices are pretty much what you'd expect from this sort of upmarket gastropub, and food is good quality. Pretty trendy bro.

                  Influences from South America and New Orleans make this new hot-spot a stand-out. The interior and fit-out is arguably the best in the city, and the friendy, yet expert, staff and exceptional food will make this an absolute winner.

                    Wow pack groups newest and hottest bar/restaurant is amazing!! It’s new Orleans style with the most gorgeous food - great service with a kiwi smile and attitude! The food is to die for with just enough heat/spice and amazing flavour! Everyone has to check it out it’s absolutely amazing!!!!

                      Great, love this style of food and it is hard to find round here. i will definitely give it a go, hope they do mardi gras New orleans Style too.
