Little King Cafe may be spanking new, but it has already won over the people of Milford. Owner and operator David Lee made the cafe something special not only with great coffee, extensive food selection for both young and old, but also great atmosphere and homely decor.
The owner, North Shore local David knows how to make a cafe special.
He gets his inspiration from cafes around New Zealand and Australia, adding special touches such as American-style waffles and “custom coffee” in berry and cherry flavours!

Entering Little King is like walking into a real life Pinterest board, with home-made, vintage touches everywhere. From the stroller ramp and dedicated play area, to the changing table in the bathroom, it's also perfectly tailored for mums and their kids, who are clearly a core customer base for this Milford cafe. I loved the menu as soon as I read it, and while I was tempted by the intriguing chicken waffle, I opted for the seafood chowder instead at my first visit, which was served in a cute cast enamel pot with garlic bread. Another great cafe addition to the shore, and good luck finding a table because it's already very popular!
There is hip little cafe over here in Milford, Little King Cafe. Friendly, funky, mind blowing coffee and a great atmosphere - what more could you want? Interesting mixture of decor ranging from NY to industrial, shabby French. Great retro and vintage touches. I didn't eat but a chilled out with a flat white which was amazing. Good del mar style beats!
