Absolutely love their Lone Star Loaf and Garlic Butter!! it is absolutely heavenly!! Their ribs are great too, but their steak.. well i think the cooking needs a little improvement coz my "medium rare" steak was too hard and chewy unfortunately. But other than that, it's a great place to dine. Service is supreme. although having a dedicated waitress can be less convenient sometimes!
The staff at Lone Star are always friendly, we're seated very quickly and the food is always delicious and filling. We usually start with a herb loaf and follow it up with either the Stir Crazy Sirloin or Lassoo of Hog. The meal is always cooked to perfection and satisfying. What we enjoy most about Lone Star is the consistency of service, we know what we're getting every time :) #shoutme
Lone Star is fantastic if you want a decent, well-cooked, well-sized steak. The atmosphere is warm and the staff go out of their way to be helpful. We’re always able to get a table but it’s always busy which is a good sign. It’s our regular steak restaurant and has never let us down. However we’ve recently noticed a change to the menu which we hope is only temporary – we normally start with the garlic loaf (delicious, you slice it up yourself and add garlic butter) – but in recent visits this has been getting smaller and smaller. The Sirloin steak feature meal (which comes in 250g and 350g sizes) is fantastic, but it used to come with a mountain of small roasted potatoes, but recently has come with only a meagre serving of fries. On our last visit, we didn’t get the coleslaw that was supposed to come with the meal either. We hope this was only a temporary problem and isn’t a way of cutting costs, as one of the great things about Lone Star is having a huge, American-style steak dinner.
