There is nothing better than tucking into a good old steak and cheese pie after a long day relaxing on beach.
Located in the centre of the lovely village of Mairangi Bay, this traditional bakery offers a range of tasty pies which are a favourite with locals and visitors alike.
Winners of numerous Bakels awards including 2 gold medals in 2013 for their salmon, scallops, leeks & crab pie and their brandied apple, apricot & sweet grape pie, there are also a good selection of sandwiches and filled rolls if you feel like something a bit healthier, and a range of delicious sweet treats.

For an award-winning bacon and egg pie, you gotta try Mairangi Bay Bakery's version. Light, flaky pastry and the perfect bacon and egg filling eaten beachside... doesn't get better than this.

    When you see a bakery that has signs outside showing they have won numerous Bakels awards, then you know you are on to a good thing. Their delicious seafood pie is definitely worth a try!

      My local bakery when I lived on the Shore, I never had to go far to get my hands on a great pie. A traditional local bakery, there's a good range of filled rolls and sandwiches here, plus lots of sweet treats (try the apple turnovers). Must try pie: Steak & cheese.
