Wow! This local gem was recommended to me by a Waikato insider and boy did it rock my socks (or more precisely, my tastebuds!). Because it was Pie Day Friday I tried classic kiwi favourite - a steak and cheese pie. But balanced out my indulgence with a nutritious black bean and beetroot salad. You have to hunt to find Mavis & Co but once you get there, it’s jam-packed full of locals in the know. Visit here now!!!

    Friday pie day at Mavis & Co! My steak and blue cheese pie was the best! Followed by a delicious little piece of Mavis Russian fudge.

      Good food! Great coffee! And they do catering as well. Always busy and always friendly. Located on Victoria St, easy to find.

        Big fan of Mavis & Co, the baking is just too tantalisingly good. I've had breakfast, lunch, and lots of snack stops and meetings here - funky interior, great selection and always a queue because everyone knows how good it is. Best to not come during peak lunch hours as can get a little too busy.

          This place has the most amazing food, especially in the cakes and sweet treats section. Along with this Mavis & Co. has a great lively atmosphere and high quality customer service from all staff. Highly recommend, one of my all time favourites!

            After living abroad for a long time, reverse culture shock can make it hard to fit back into society. Returning to Hamilton after travelling for two years, I was surprised to  find a new cafe and catering service had established in Hamilton. Mavis & co catering and cafe provided the perfect atmosphere to catch up with special people and find my place in society again during my kiwi summer!

              Beautiful vintage exterior, yummy yummy food and GOOD coffee!
